In-Home Euthanasia
To let a beloved pet go peacefully, comfortably and with dignity is one of the most beautiful gifts an owner can give. Goodbye is never easy, but we will respect and partner with you to ensure that your moments together are as gentle and kind as they can be.

What to expect from an in-home euthanasia appointment:
We arrive at your appointment with care, compassion and complete awareness that every family and every pet is different. We will warmly respect your wishes and your pet's situation, and will discuss any concerns or questions you may have. We will also guide you through the process and what to expect, and discuss your aftercare options. We will never rush you, and we truly want you to ask or discuss anything that is on your mind regarding your decision or the process itself.

When you and your pet are comfortable, we will give your pet an injection of a sedative medication so that they drift into a comfortable sleep. This allows us to ensure that they do not experience any unnecessary stress during the process. There are some rare circumstances in which a sedative might not be appropriate, but we will let you know if this is the case.

Once your pet is asleep and we have assessed that the level of sedation is ideal, we place an intravenous catheter so that we can minimise our presence during the administration of the euthanasia medication, and you can be as close with your pet as you choose during that tender time.

After the administration of the euthanasia medication, you are welcome to spend as much time as you need to say your final goodbye. When the time comes for us to leave, we provide the option of transportation for cremation (if this is the aftercare option you chose), so that you can grieve in peace and privacy at home. Alternatively, we can arrange for collection by our trusted aftercare partner, Passing Paws.

Pricing:
We want you to be able to focus on saying goodbye to your precious family member when we come out, so our standard fee is paid online when you book. The fee is $500, and this includes a home visit by one of our experienced vets, all veterinary services associated with euthanasia, and the cost of standard cremation. Should you choose a private cremation so that you will receive your pet's ashes, there will be some specific fees associated with this, as you will be able to choose different options to suit your needs.
